What a joke. Nice work Fletch. Instead of righting the ship and finding a deal for that missing piece, head to the rummage sale and pick up a couple broken and beaten up action figures.... ie. Evel Knievel without his motor cycle and GI Joe missing his Kung fu grip hands.... Nice work buddy!
So he bought a 3.3 million dollar a year face off man that pretty much brings little else to the table and re-signs a player he dealt away a 2nd round pick for only to let walk so that he could sign him again 2 years later.... WTF. This could the worst off season since the Heatley/Seto acquistions... It's really starting to make the Suter/Parise signings look even more ridiculous then before.... |

I think these are good signings. Plus the signing of Stewart I think is a sign that the Wild are letting Carter walk. Need some grit to fill in that hole Carter leaves |

I guess it's either give out 6 and 7 year deals or get the old folks in here.

Dude, look at the deals Backes and oko got, would you want those guys on the team for that price? I am for one happy he past on those kind of contracts, to much money/time for those guys. Hell, maybe Staal will find his groove again and get a 30+ goal/ 70+ point season and be a bargain... Time will tell! |

I would've been happy to have Staal as the 3C for that price... I guess your expectations are greater than mine... |

That's fine, I didn't want either one of those guys... not at those prices.. but you can't tell me Fletch couldn't have been a little more proactive when PC is trading away Hall for Adam Larsson. Wild have some D talent that is pretty close to if not better than Larsson. Hell, I would have given up any one of our D men to get Hall and maybe even 2.
I can live with Stahl but he's got nothing left in him but face off skills. Bet he won't put up even close to the points that Vanek did last season. |

I foresee an Eric Staal buyout in the near future. |

The problem is the Wild have three third line centers now.

I agree. Good pick up by the Wild. Was scared we were going to go in on a contract with a guy for 6/7/8 years at high dollars. We have not had a good track record with those deals in the recent past. Heatley, Backstrom, Sedoguchi, Vanek, Brodin, etc... |

I know, I am still hoping for a trade to come involving Granny, Dumba and a pick for a solid 1st line Center. Keeping my lucky rabbits foot up my tight butt cheeks |

I think he might be off the table ever since they trader Hall the other day. Who knows though, maybe Nashville will trade Subban for Suter straight up! Kidding, wouldn't take they trade even if it was offered. |

What exactly is wrong with the Brodin contract? He may have regressed a bit last season but he's still a pretty damn good defensive d-man and he's what??? 23 years old? $4 million a year? You're high if you think that's a bad deal. |

He said first line center, not another 50 point center. |

granlund won't be playing center.. i think with staal coming in they will put granlund on the wing.. still need a top 6 winger

I just think he should have received a smaller bridge contract. He received that contract after coming off a solid year along side Suter, his game has declined ever since he signed it. Don't care how old he is, he is not earning his 4 mil a year |

Countless rumors but most notably TSN guys. Could be a piece in play for Barrie from Colorado. The team still needs to improve its D. |

Koivu wont be the top line center. It'll be Staal and his NTC that Fletcher once again dolled out.

Hmmm Fletcher could have signed the young 6'5" colborne who was coming off a great campaign to probably close to the same deal and then brought in Beodker or someone else younger than Stewart! These two signings are garbage. Staal's might have been okay if it was a 2 year 2.5 mil deal. Or better yet they should have traded Dumba like Edmonton wanted and got RNH. |

Oh okay! LOL... Not sure what color the sky is in your world, but I defy you to find one person who knows anything about NHL hockey to agree with you! Brodin's contract is as good as it gets. Perfect term and salary@ $4.1 million for 6 years for a kid who isn't even in his prime yet and has had one off season following a pretty significant head injury...
Clayton Stoner makes $3.5 million a year for crying out loud....
